MEET SAMANTHA

As you’re reading this, I’m probably wearing jeans and a t-shirt. If you passed me on the street, you wouldn’t realize that my bag is overflowing with Jewish texts and source sheets, and I’m on my way to the mikvah, or to teach a class on Jewish philanthropy. Because I’m not your typical Jewish educator. I don’t believe Judaism belongs in the classroom, or the synagogue, or even the beit midrash. My mission is to bring Jewish education everywhere – to your house. To the gym. To the beach. To the city streets you walk every day.

So who am I? My name is Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath, and I’m a Jewish educator. I’m passionate about connecting with Jewish teens and emerging adults, talking about Israel, history, philanthropy, and food, and sharing meaningful icebreakers as often as I can. By day, I work in the Washington DC Jewish community and am in the process of pursuing an EdD in Jewish Educational Leadership (for more info check out my resume here). By night, I’m here for you – to be your partner in exploring Jewish content and topics and making them relevant, and your resource for brainstorming, curriculum development, and teaching.

I believe in teaching to the whole person. Not just to my learners when they’re wearing their ‘Jewish hats’ for the couple of hours a week/month/year that they intentionally create Jewish time for themselves, but to the complex, evolving, incredible people that they are. I see my job as meeting each individual where they are on their lifelong journeys and creating a relationship that enables them to move a step - either forward, sideways, or diagonal - towards the next step on those journeys. I see the work of Jewish education as a sacred responsibility (check out my whole educational philosophy here!).

So what does all of that mean? I’d love to partner with you! If you’re looking for sources, lesson plan ideas, and activities that make Judaism relevant and meaningful for Jewish families, teens, and young adults, check out my resources! If you want insights into an ongoing Jewish journey, my blog goes deep into the complexities of my own explorations of Judaism and Jewish identity. If you'd like to follow along with my research as I explore Jewish identity questions through interviews with emerging adults, subscribe today. And if you’re looking for an educational thought partner to collaborate with in speaking, teaching, and curriculum development, reach out to me – I’d love to see what we can build together!

Areas of Expertise

Jewish teen engagement

The world of music is ever growing and evolving, and we’re not just talking about sound trends. With the consistent introduction of varying revenue streams and distribution channels, the opportunity for profit grows, but so does the complexity. That’s where we come in.

ART LITIGATION

Demystifying art law is in itself a creative practice. It requires finesse, strategic structuring, and in many ways, empathy. At the end of the day, art and its worth are profoundly personal. That’s why we advise mediation or arbitration before stepping into litigation.

Israel education

The way people consume entertainment is constantly in flux, so the laws must adapt quickly. Harris Ingram strives to anticipate these changes so you can focus more on creating the performance of a lifetime.

BUSINESS STRATEGY

The startup and small business marketplace is still a new and fierce frontier that requires legal advice from attorneys who are deeply entrenched in the particularities of venture financing. Our firm gives you an holistic approach, so your company can get the best competitive advantage.

DIGITAL MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY

The internet, software, and technology are so pervasive that we can’t remember having ever lived without them. They make our lives simpler, but behind the curtain are fluctuating challenges in protection and monetization—challenges that our firm stays two steps ahead of.

FASHION, APPAREL & TEXTILE LAW

Fashion law is a little bit like the Wild West. There’s a lot of potential, but the rules can seem convoluted and vague at best. Protecting a brand or even a single design involves intellectual property, copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
